New Coordinator needed – are you interested?

The Coppetts Wood group is currently looking for someone with enthusiasm and commitment to coordinate reading coaches and readers in and around this area. If you are looking for a significant role as a volunteer, with the opportunity to change lives for those who cannot currently read, please contact Tom Mason (who is currently Chair and acting coordinator) by email: coppettswood@readeasy.org.uk. He would be delighted to hear from you and provide full details of this interesting and worthwhile role.

Introducing Stephanie Matthews, our new Regional Adviser for Central England

IMG_0621We are delighted to have appointed Stephanie Matthews as our new Regional Adviser for the Eastern part of Central England.

Stephanie will start by supporting the existing groups in this area, but before long she will be looking for Pioneers to start new groups in places where there is particular need. If you are interested in starting a group in this region, do keep an eye on our Start a new group page, where we will be posting further details shortly. She will initially work two days each week and can be reached by mobile phone on 07761 992 707 or by email: stephanie@readeasy.org.uk

Stephanie has worked in the voluntary and community sector for over 25 years in both rural settings and cities in Yorkshire and the Midlands. This has involved working and managing services which provide support to older and disabled people and developing community based services with volunteers. Stephanie lives in East Northamptonshire and enjoys walking, reading and gardening. She has two grown up children now living away from home.
