The Autumn newsletter is now available. If you have not already subscribed and would like to receive this, email judith@readeasy.org.uk and she will email you a copy.
In addition to news of readers and coaches in Weymouth and Portland and new venues in Honiton, there is a special feature in the latest Newsletter from the North Cotswolds group on the story of four very special readers, which was picked up by the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Standard. One is called Elaine, known by everyone as a cheery neighbour. She jokes, ”I love cinnamon on my porridge. But I used to end up sometimes eating cumin!”. Just think what life would be like if you couldn’t read labels.
Mandy Woodard is the Pioneer for the new group in Torbay, who shares the difference being part of Read Easy has made to her life: ”The Read Easy project is something I totally engage with and gives me a long searched for sense of fulfilment…..If anyone had said to me 12 months ago I’d be speaking in front of people, I’d have thought they were mad!….quite simply, it’s a joy to be part of Read Easy and it’s changing my life”.
