We are looking forward to our fifth annual Conference, which will take place all day on Saturday 21 October at Chipping Campden School.
Reading coaches and volunteer committee members come together for a day of workshops on relevant topics associated with adult literacy and have time to share resources and best practice – they also get to know each other over delicious refreshments!
It is only open to volunteers currently involved with Read Easy, but is free to attend and travel expenses are provided.
The inspirational guest speaker who will open the Conference this year is Sue Pember, the Chief Executive of HOLEX, which represents a network of more than 120 adult and community learning providers. They educate, train and re-train over 700,000 adult learners each year, so Sue brings a wealth of experience to enrich the knowledge and understanding of Read Easy’s volunteers.
Feedback from participants to last year’s Conference was very positive:
‘‘It was good to hear about what other groups are doing. It was obvious that we can all do even more!”
”Very inspirational…..very informative…..very interesting”
“I found it so useful to see we are part of a larger organisation”
