On Saturday the 7th of December 2019, the North Cotswolds Read Easy Group
hosted a festive lunch party and raffle prize draw at the historic Spring Hill
Estate, near Snowshill, to raise much needed funds so that the group can carry on its vital work into 2020. The total raised at the lunch was £1,400.
This fundraiser was the first of its kind for the North Cotswolds group and helped successfully raise the profile of the charity amongst the local community.
The idea for the fundraiser came from Eleanor Weil, the Creative Director of Dovebrook Kitchen – a new vegetarian food company about to launch, based
in Blockley, who also sits on the committee and volunteers as Publicity Organiser for Read Easy North Cotswolds. The money raised will help support more readers on their journey towards literacy and the North Cotswolds Group hope to find and support more of the estimated 3,000+ adults in the area who struggle with reading or are unable to read at all.

If you know anyone based in the North Cotswolds area who might need help with reading, contact Read Easy North Costwolds Group Team Leader John Seddon
