Current volunteering opportunities:

At the moment we are particularly looking to fill the following roles:

  • Team Administrator / Secretary - Your administration skills can help to support the smooth running of the Management Team. You would take minutes, keep records up to date and generally support the Team Leader with meetings and communications.
  • IT Supporter - If you are good with IT you could provide invaluable support to local volunteers when they hit problems. If preferred, this role could be taken up without joining the Management Team.
  • Data Protection Champion - Liaise with members of the Team to make sure that all personal data is stored according to the Data Protection Policy.
  • Fundraiser - You will be seeking to build relationships with locally based organisations that are interested in investing directly into their local communities. Part of this role will be to complete written bids for funding making this an interesting and varied role.
  • Volunteer Recruiter: - If you’re a ‘people person’ and love to meet a wide range of people, then this will give you a really interesting opportunity to help manage the recruitment and interviewing of volunteers for us. You’ll need to be enthusiastic, a good listener and be able to spot a strong volunteer when you see one. By recruiting the right sort of volunteers, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the longevity of our group.
  • Reading Coach - Once trained, you will be paired with an adult who wants to improve their reading. Together, whether meeting in-person or remotely, you will work through the Turning Pages phonics-based reading programme, supported by your Coordinator. Please get in touch as we have a short waiting list of adults who want to learn to read in the Wycombe and Aylesbury areas.
