Current volunteering opportunities:

There are lots of interesting ways to get involved in a Read Easy group and we often have vacancies, both on our local Management Team and for Reading Coaches. At the moment we are particularly looking to fill the following roles:

Coordinator (Brighton)
Fundraiser
Publicity Organiser
Coordinator (Worthing)

About our group:

Read Easy provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults. Each reader is paired with a trained volunteer and works at their own pace in a supportive environment. There are no classrooms, no tests, and no judgement, just encouragement and steady progress. Learning to read changes lives!

Read Easy Central Sussex affiliated to Read Easy UK in January 2026. We will start coaching readers in September in Brighton & Hove, Shoreham, Lancing, Worthing and Lewes.

Read Easy groups are financially independent from Read Easy UK, and we are responsible for raising all the money needed to keep our group going.
