Current volunteering opportunities:

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers who wish to make a difference to over 28,000 adults in Kirklees and Calderdale area who have difficulty reading, or cannot read at all. There are lots of interesting ways to get involved in a Read Easy group and we often have vacancies, both on our local Management Team and for Reading Coaches. At the moment we are particularly looking to fill the following roles:

  • Data Protection Champion
  • Safeguarding Champion
  • Treasurer

About our group:

Kirklees and Calderdale Read Easy was affiliated in September 2024 and in the first instance will focus on the Calderdale and Halifax area. We are always interested in new venues, volunteers and funding opportunities. If you would like to support our work in any way please get in touch.

The group covers the Kirklees and Calderdale area, to include Halifax, Huddersfield, and the surrounding towns.
