Current volunteering opportunities:

There are lots of interesting ways to get involved in a Read Easy group and we often have vacancies, both on our local Management Team and for Reading Coaches. At the moment we are particularly looking to fill the following roles:

Publicity Officer
Coordinators (Bridgwater)
IT Supporter
Coordinator Supporter

About our group:

Read Easy Somerset was formed in April 2024 expanding from Read Easy Taunton & Wellington who have been supporting adult Readers for the past decade. In addition to our hub in Taunton and Wellington, we are currently focussed on developing a new hub in Bridgwater with plans to develop more across the county to support Readers in nearby communities. The Skills for Life Survey (2011) statistics show that over 17,000 adults could benefit from the Read Easy programme across the county of Somerset as a whole.

Read Easy groups are staffed entirely by volunteers and are financially independent, raising all funds needed to continue our work. If you would like to support us by donating, volunteering or promoting our cause, please get in touch to find out how.
